The benefit of herbs for your dog
Herbs have been around for thousands of years and have powerful therapeutic properties. Through extensive research, it is now understood that âconventionalâ medicine derived from plants.Â
Over the last Century, herbs have been used more to support and maintain our own good health & wellbeing and we are now choosing to include herbs and other natural remedies to support the health of our animals.
Have you noticed that your dog may forage and choose to eat different plants/herbs etc at different times? This is a process called Zoopharmacognosy or (self-selection/self-medicating) and is a natural way for your dog to support itself both physically and emotionally. In the Western world, it can be difficult for your dog to naturally find the herbs that it would select in the wild, and as such Proflax have created herbal blends for each of your dogs ailments, which they would most likely select if they had access to them.
Every herb in its natural active state is made up of dozens of unique bioactive chemicals (phyto-chemicals) and nutrients called phytonutrients which contain trace minerals, vitamins and antioxidants.Â
We use only the finest medicinal/practitioner grade herbal tinctures; flower, leaf or root. The herbs are macerated in either natural alcohol or vegetable glycerine (a standard procedure for herbal extraction with tinctures). This process is the best way of extracting all of the goodness out of the herb giving it the very best therapeutic effect. Dried herbs tend to lose much of their goodness and bioactive compounds due to the heating process they go through.

As a customer of Proflax for a few years now, I would just like to thank Mike and Sam for their continued help with product advice and information and sorting out my many queries! I am a great fan of Proflax and use quite a few different Proflax products for my collies, Angus (8.5) and Hartley-Hare (4) - namely, Mega Mobility, Keep off Me, Plaque Patrol and Tummy Tastic and the Immunity & Vitality Oil. The products are excellent quality and my dogs don't have any problems with them being put into their daily food. Great for my dogs health
I just like to reach out and tell you one of the benefits your supplement horny hound has that you might not know of. It has changed my dogs life. My dog started getting prostate issues around 2 years ago after X-rays at the vet he was diagnosed with an enlarged prostrate. He was peeing blood and leaking blood in his sleep. The vet wanted to neuter my dog but I was against it as he is reactive ( noise reactive ) and that could have made his situation worse. Also for his breed Rottweiler I didnât want him putting on weight or loosing muscle mass that comes with neturing. So I searched long and hard and came across a pill called ypozane for prostate problems in male dogs. That worked but I had to keep giving it every 4 months or the bleeding would start again. and I wasnât keen on keeping him on that for life as I didnât know what harm that would do to his body long term. So I started searching supplements I came across nothing that was for prostate problems on male dogs. But then I came across your horny hound and thought I would give it a go. Well Ozzy hasnât needed the ypozane in 9 months since starting horny hound and no problems with his prostate since or peeing blood. . I know your supplement isnât for prostate problems in dogs. But it has changed my dogs life massively. I can now control his enlarged prostate in a natural way that isnât going to harm his health.
