Feeding Guidelines

Feeding Proflax Oils

Shake the bottle well, then measure using the provided pipette or cup.

Feed 1ml of oil per 2kg of your dog’s weight – so a 20kg dog, for example, would need 10ml.

Pour over their food, give it a quick mix, and serve.

Feed the recommended dose daily as part of your dog’s regular routine.

80% pure cold pressed flaxseed oil
20% herbal blend

The herbal blend consists of:

Skullcap: Relaxing & calming. A natural antioxidant. Detoxifying.

Withania: An adaptogenic herb that supports flexibility/mobility and promotes calmness. A natural anti-oxidant. Contains sodium and iron.

Chamomile: Relaxing, calming and soothing. Aids digestion. A good source of zinc, iron, and selenium.

Astragalus: An adaptogenic herb that supports good energy/stamina & supports a healthy metabolism. Contains flavonoids and polysaccharides.

Turmeric: Contains a mix of phenolics known as curcumin. A rich source of vitamin C, calcium, iron, niacin, potassium and zinc and a powerful anti-oxidant. Aids digestion, supports cardio function. Cleansing.

Gotu Kola: Adaptogen. Cleansing, aids circulation. Supports a healthy nervous system, veins & blood vessels. Contains calcium, manganese, potassium, selenium, zinc, vitamins C and B.

Ginger: Supports a healthy circulatory system. Supports joint health and aids bone density. Contains vitamins B5 and B6, potassium and manganese.

Liquorice root: An adaptogenic herb that supports the immune system, respiratory and digestive systems. Makes the whole formula taste great!

Suitability

Suitable for all dogs over 12 weeks of age. Not recommended for pregnant or nursing dogs. Do not use if your dog is known to be allergic or reactive to any of the listed ingredients.

If your dog is taking medication, or you have any concerns about using this product, please consult your vet for advice. Stop feeding 5 days prior to anaesthetic.

Storage

Store in a cool, dark place and keep sealed between uses. Store out of reach of children.

FAQs

Will my dog eat it?

98% of pets do! Flaxseed oil has a nutty flavour and one of the herbs that we include - liquorice - has a very sweet taste so this combination offers great palatability.

What if my dog is taking prescribed medication?

Can I feed Proflax alongside prescribed medication? The short answer is — it might be possible, but we always recommend checking with your vet first.

Some herbs in our formulas can affect how medications are absorbed. In some
cases, it’s as simple as giving Proflax at a different time of day – which is the approach we usually suggest.

But it’s important to be cautious. Certain medications can affect things like blood pressure, the central nervous system, or internal organs – and your vet will know whether a particular supplement is suitable alongside them.

Veterinary professionals are best placed to understand any contra-indications
to the medications they prescribe, so we always advise discussing your chosen
Proflax formula with them before starting.

Take extra care if your pet is on blood thinners or modulators, and please note:

Proflax powders are not recommended for pregnant or nursing animals.

Can I use it with other Proflax products?

You absolutely can feed more one Proflax supplement to your pet at the same time, following a few simple guidelines.

Powder + Oil:

If you're feeding both a Proflax powder and an oil, and the herbs in each are different, you can give both on the same day – just split them between different meals and feed each at the full daily amount.

For general wellbeing, you can alternate products – give a powder one day, and an oil the next.

Oil + Oil:

Want to use two oils instead? You’ve got two options:

Feed half the daily amount of each oil on the same day – either in the same meal or split across two
Or, alternate daily – one oil one day, the second oil the next

Powder + Powder:

If you're feeding two Proflax powders, and the herbs in each are different, you can give both on the same day.

Can I feed Proflax even if my pet doesn't have a condition?

Absolutely! We advocate a preventative approach to healthcare for your pet. Feed a product according to your pet's breed, lifestyle and life stage.

Not entirely sure this works. Have used it on my barky dog and nervous dog with no real noticeable differences

Proflax Calm and Collected

I have tried many different brands and types of product for my lurcher. Proflax Calm and Collected seems to be the most effective in helping him cope. The description of what Omega Calm helps with, seemingly fits his profile better, but it definitely doesn’t help him as much as Calm and collected

Early days but seems to be working

I’ve always given my dog salmon oil but a trainer recommended this to help my rescue settle more. In conjunction with changes to his diet and a calming plug in it seems to be having a positive impact.

It does what it says, it helped calm my Pumi. The delivery was very quick.
